The project
VOXPOP Lisboa

THE PROJECT.

VoxPop is an innovative project that aims to promote the digital transition of the mobility sector in the Portuguese capital through a change process based on the 3 main vectors of digital transformation: People, Processes and Technology.

The project grew out of the need identified by several local stakeholders to work more collaboratively and transparently to share data of public interest to enable the identification of opportunities for improvement in Lisbon’s mobility and transportation system and more efficient resource planning and management processes.

VoxPop thus aims to respond to a range of non-technological challenges, including governance, business models, user focus, and unintended consequences of digital innovation.

IN PORTUGAL

Why Lisbon

The project is led by the City of Lisbon (CML) and involves various players in the local innovation ecosystem (municipal entities, private companies and civil society).

VoxPop is funded by Urban Innovative Actions, a program sponsored by the European Commission that aims to fund ambitious and innovative solutions to challenges in cities. The VoxPop project began in 2019 and will end in August 2023.

VoxPop included an “Open Call” aimed at a community of innovators, in which a significant portion of the project’s budget-1 million euros-was earmarked for the development of digital solutions that meet the accessibility and safety needs of the city’s most vulnerable people.
Willeasy is one of 18 ecompanies awarded the Open Call.

Willeasy’s goal under the Voxpop Lisbon Open Call is to make Lisbon a more attractive city from a tourism standpoint by bringing innovations that address unresolved bottlenecks:
