The project
VOXPOP Lisboa
THE PROJECT.
VoxPop is an innovative project that aims to promote the digital transition of the mobility sector in the Portuguese capital through a change process based on the 3 main vectors of digital transformation: People, Processes and Technology.
The project grew out of the need identified by several local stakeholders to work more collaboratively and transparently to share data of public interest to enable the identification of opportunities for improvement in Lisbon’s mobility and transportation system and more efficient resource planning and management processes.
VoxPop thus aims to respond to a range of non-technological challenges, including governance, business models, user focus, and unintended consequences of digital innovation.

IN PORTUGAL
Why Lisbon
The project is led by the City of Lisbon (CML) and involves various players in the local innovation ecosystem (municipal entities, private companies and civil society).
VoxPop is funded by Urban Innovative Actions, a program sponsored by the European Commission that aims to fund ambitious and innovative solutions to challenges in cities. The VoxPop project began in 2019 and will end in August 2023.
Willeasy's solution
Willeasy’s goal under the Voxpop Lisbon Open Call is to make Lisbon a more attractive city from a tourism standpoint by bringing innovations that address unresolved bottlenecks:
- Availability of open data on the accessibility of public transportation and the operation of tools for getting in and out of subway stations (escalators, elevators, and stair elevators).
- Collecting and sharing objective data on the accessibility of housing, commercial establishments, and restaurants/bars.
- Collection and sharing of information on accessibility of tourist/cultural points of interest.
- Creation of routes for visiting the city, creating differentiated solutions according to people's accessibility needs.
- Availability of a website for consultation of all information made available.
- Provision of mobility aids (scooters, wheelchairs, strollers...).
As Lisbon works to become accessible, we provide the tools to make it visitable and livable now and for all people.

Testimonials
"Congratulations on your project and on your excellent work. Your application is very useful and well thought out. We have been working in inclusive tourism for about 15 years, providing the rental service of mobility support products to clients from all over the world who visit Portugal. We also provide assistance and make minor repairs to tourists' mobility equipment. In addition, we have personal health teams that can assist people in hotels or in their vacation homes. I will be happy to be your partner."
"I want people of all types, including those with disabilities, to enjoy Lisbon and its magical atmosphere. Willeasy and I are here to make your trip accessible with the right tools and knowledge. Quero que pessoas de todos os tipos, mesmo com deficiência, desfrutem de Lisboa e da sua atmosfera mágica. Willeasy e eu estamos aqui para tornar sua viagem acessível com as ferramentas e o conhecimento certos. "
"We are always willing to participate in projects that make this museum more accessible to everyone. For us this project represents a great opportunity. Sixty percent of our audience is Italian, and in Portugal I think there is no platform with as much information available on accessibility as Willeasy's, which is very comprehensive."
"I'm so proud that you guys are doing something like this for someone who really needs restaurant help, and yes, we're more than happy and we will also update our information through your website."
